A swift trail race from Apperley Bridge to the Nosegay Trig Point. The Course is a short section of The Leeds Liverpool Canal in Apperley Bridge before heading through beautiful Buck Wood, up into the quiet village of Thackley then to the top of the hill visiting the Nosegay Trig Point. The route then descends through Dawson Wood, rejoining the canal for a fast finish at Apperley Bridge Locks. This is a fully marked course with marshals present / Navigation skills not necessary (but always helpful).

Pre-race registration will take place at Dobson Locks where there are toilet facilities. Post race awards will be handed out in the courtyard at 12:30.

BAGS

Small bags / layers may be left at the Race Start Finish Area where there will be a designated space.

WATER

There will be a water station at race hq. There is no water on course. In the event of a heatwave we will provide more water at the halfway point 3km.

Mandatory / Recommended Gear

Water Container - Great Owl Running events are cupless, we provide water at refill stations but you must bring your own container.

GETTING THERE / PARKING

Please note you park your vehicle at your own risk. As this race registration takes place on the Leeds Liverpool Canal runners are encouraged to park locally and sensibly. Note there is a huge car park at Apperley Bridge Station which is roughly 1km from race hq.

Nearest Train Station is Apperley Bridge and has a regular service to Leeds and Shipley.

We have access to bike storage, we would love to encourage our runners to cycle to events.
