east Leeds trail Ultramarathon

OPEN 1 OCT - END

A 58KM / 35 Mile jaunt route heading East from Leeds City Centre. In total the route is 85% trail / 15% paved. For the GPX Version of this race you may do the 2 main loops in any order (but you must complete the loop in its correct direction).

Aire Calder Navigation

The first 20km of this race is a 20km jaunt all the way from Leeds Dock to Fairburn Ings RSPB. The GPX file follows the shortest distance along the Aire Calder Navigation, but you may run on either side of the river as long as you do not detour from the river too much.

The Loop

After Fairburn Ings you head up the first hill (yes the first hill!) towards Ledsham and Ledsham Park, Micklefield and Lotherton Park before heading towards the halfway point of Aberford. Garforth via Barnbow is next on the list then you will head back towards Swillington and Temple Newsham before hitting Skelton Lake and returning back to Leeds City Centre on River Aire.
