First of all thank you so much for helping us out on the day, this cannot be done without the help of you all. This is the first time we have ever done an event as complicated as this so thank you and I welcome any feedback post race.

CHECKPOINTS
Collections of RACE EQUIPMENT
Any Race Equipment must be collected from race HQ immediately following the race start (CP1 8:05 am, all other CPS 9:05am).

You will collect a box or bag containing the following:
1 x Feather Flag
1 x Feather Flag Base
First Aid Kit
Water Containers
Snacks
Small Pink Flags - for marking the approach and leaving of your checkpoint
Signage - to point in direction of the approach and leaving of your checkpoint
Cable ties
You will need to bring:
Pens / Paper notebook etc
Scissors or clippers for removing cable ties
Club Feather Flag (if applicable)

saturday - LCW SOUTH
CP1 - Methley
Marshals: Methley Striders
Distance: 13km
Open Time: 09:15
Close Time: 11:00
Provisions: Water, Snacks
I don’t expect too many runners to be stopping here as its so early in the race. Remember there are two waves so you may get a gap in the middle.
Runners approach from Little Church Lane so you’ll have plenty of time to record numbers.
Please put out some snacks and water jugs / bottles.

It may not be necessary for you to come to Race HQ if you can provide your own water etc - this may be a good idea if you want to save time. Can discuss.
CP2 - Gardener’s Arms, Lofthouse

Distance: 22km
Open Time: 10:30
Close Time: 12:00

Runners approach from the footpath path over the road
Please put out some snacks and water jugs / bottles.
Take note of numbers and times using form provided. Once you are finished please return gear to Farsley HQ.
Optional: If weather is fine you may want to move your checkpoint over the road onto the path where the runners come from, this is fine as long as you let anyone know who needs the toilet they must go to the pub.
You will arrive before the pub opens, so if anyone asks let any staff know when you have full permission from the landlord.
CP3 - Woodkirk Country Club
Marshals: North Leeds Fell Runners
Distance: 34km
Open Time: 11:30
Close Time: 15:00

Before opening please mark some arrows pointing right at the entrance to the graveyard up the road to ensure runners do not miss the checkpoint. Then some over the road where they rejoin. Runners have been briefed that the checkpoint is off course and the GPX route will bring them to you.
There is plenty of space in the room to put out drop bags for runners to find themselves and then it’s a case of putting out some snacks and water jugs / bottles.

CP4 - Valley In Drighlington
Marshals: Kirkstall Harriers
Distance: 43km
Open Time: 12:00
Close Time: 16:00
Provisions: Water, Snacks, Toilets
Runners will come round the back into the car park. If you can try and point some signage that way. Runners have been briefed that the checkpoint is off course and the GPX route will bring them to you.
Runners emerge onto a busy road so if you have a marshal spare it may be worth stationing them on the path before it emerges to warn.

CP5 - Fox & Grapes, Pudsey
Marshals: Bramley Breezers
Distance: 50km
Open Time: 13:00
Close Time: 17:00
Provisions: Water, Snacks, Toilets
Runners approach from the footpath outside the pub and turn left. It may be better to station yourselves at the top of the path so long as there is room for the public to get past. Otherwise just outside the pub is fine. Let anyone know who needs the toilet they must go to the pub.

sunday - LCW north
CP1 - horsforth

Distance: 12km
Open Time: 09:15

CP2 - golden acre park
Marshals: Kathy & Ian, Valley Striders
Distance: 20km
Open Time: 10:00
Close Time: 11:30
Provisions: Water, Snacks
Runners come from the woods and emerge out the car park. It is hard to tell how busy this car will be but try to find a good spot where runners will see you.
Please put out some snacks and water jugs / bottles.
Take note of numbers and times using form provided. Once you are finished please return gear to Garforth HQ.
This will be a popular stop for runner crews, so should be a fun atmosphere.
When runners are checked they need to go under the bridge NOT accross the road.
CP3 - bardsey callister hall
Marshals: Roundhay Runners
Distance: 33km
Open Time: 11:30
Close Time: 14:00
Provisions: Water, Snacks Plus, Toilets

Mark section off the LCW to Bardsey Callister Hall and back to LCW (markers provided)
Put up event signage (provided)
Receive Delivery of runner dropbags and display where runners can find them (in hall)
Put out a nice spread - can advise but happy for you to organise!

Crews may NOT park in the car park opposite - instead direct them up the road - the school car park is free.
This will be a popular stop for runner crews, so should be a fun atmosphere, but please keep them out that car park - runners will be given instructions for their crews.
When runners are checked they need to go back the way they came.
CP4 - gascoigne arms, barwick-in-elmet

Distance: 42km
Open Time: 12:00
Close Time: 16:00

Runners approach from The Boyle and it is good visibility so they should see you, please put out some snacks and water jugs / bottles.

Please introduce yourself and let the staff know when you arrive, we have full permission from the landlord/head chef to be there.
We have full blessing from the pub, but If crews turn try to encourage them to buy something as it may annoy the pub. Runners will be given instructions for their crews.
